Hi,
I’m Laurie Bushek, Educational Program Coordinator for Bereavement Services. I began working in Bereavement Services 15 years ago as the receptionist/secretary for the department. As our department grew, my responsibilities grew with it!

I took over conference planning about 10 years ago, and I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to bring this very important training to healthcare professionals, both nationally and internationally. I am truly amazed at the dedicated and compassionate people I "meet" and work with who also embrace the mission of Bereavement Services. Having experienced two stillbirths years ago, I know how much it means to have someone with you during that most difficult time — someone who is compassionate, understanding, caring, and willing to walk with you to help you find the path to healing.

I welcome the opportunity to work with you to bring Bereavement Services training to healthcare professionals at your institution. Bereavement Services can help you establish a standard of care for families who experience this heart-breaking loss.

This spring we added a new, one-day sensitivity seminar to our educational offerings, Building Foundations for Bereavement Care … Adult, Pediatric, and Perinatal Loss. This may be the course that’s just what you are looking for, so please give me a call! I look forward to hearing from you!
